About "SweetSavours and Me"

Hiya! I'm Sherri the "me" of this "SweetSavours & Me" blog. I'm also the owner and C.S.M., Chief Savour Maker at SweetSavours Natural Body Care Apothecary.  Right now I live in Chandler, Arizona, but I'll always be a "G.R.I.T.S." I was born and raised in Georgia and that make me a Girl Raised In The South.

I grew up wearing leotards and tights and most of my time was spent in a ballet studio, so making body care products was never a "dream" of mine. A few years ago I got extremely sick I and in recovery a new opportunity presented itself. I'm thankful I lived but the medication I was given was so strong, it damaged my skin.  There were times when I could literally peel the dry skin from my face and body. When the medicine I was prescribed to heal my skin didn't work, I decided to make my own "remedies."

My "Southern Belle" upbringing had me in the kitchen, learning to cook, tweaking recipes and adding lots of love. The result was that as I used what I made, my skin began to heal. Maybe I'm a little biased but I noticed that for me, the products I made seemed to be of better quality than the store bought lotions and creams. I was happy with what I was making and when my family and friends began to buy my products, the "biz" of SweetSavours Natural Body Care Apothecary began.

Why am I blogging? My goal is for SweetSavours to grow and to continue to make quality, hand crafted natural body care products people want to use.  I understand that knowing my customers and meeting their needs are two of the most important factors of any business' success and SweetSavours is no different.  I believe this blog will be the connection between SweetSavours, our current customers and the public. 

I am looking forward to the open communication of suggestions, questions and comments that will be posted. In return, I will keep those of you who are bloggin' along with SweetSavours and Me up to date and "in the know" with what's going on with SweetSavours Natural Body Care Apothecary.
